as you can tell by my DA submissions i've started drawing my samurai comic and will continue to do so till it's done-ish :~)

as well as that i'm going to be doing some of my other comics in hopes to release a compilation book (independently published) in early september...

...'wa ga na ha kage' means 'my name is shadow' i hope you guys like it when it's done...

OH and please tell me what you think of the style. would you prefer it different or do you like it ect...
i'm hoping to make each of the comics have a different style so the books' stories have different character/mood.

the stories at this point will be
-the zombie comic (writen and a few pages in to the drawing) using gritty crosshatch and ink splatter! :~)

-the samurai comic (writing as i go) using japanese brush pens

-the film nior comic (half written) using charcoal

-the sci-fi action (this one may get cut)

---three cheers for the world of graphic novel!!!

p.s. if you havent already heard we lost mike turner on the 27th of june... another mike taken from the industry of comics. two huge presents are now watching over each and every one of us. i pray that they both help fill me with their love and fervor for brilliant visual storytelling. God speed guys!...

prayers and well wishes!

it's official. i'm throwing together my resume/portfolio and knuckling down and drawing like a cowboy(yay a pun!)...

after reading about submissions on image's site [link] i've finally gotten the confidence to start putting together a comic for proper publishing. Going for something light and fun, i've decided to start with the zombie script i wrote, 5 issues long. so in the coming weeks you should see a lot more zombie concepts and other art i'm doing for my portfolio.

also on the side i'll be doing a graphic novel workshop for ages 10 and up at a library near here in about two weeks. it'll be good to get back to teaching(even if it is a younger audience then i'm used to)...

so PLEASE prayers and/or well wishes for my up coming endeavors...

hope your all doing the best you can in your creative paths.. and feel free to message me if you want someone to bounce off~

PEACE ALL!

before you look at my art be warned that i am a man of MANY different styles. so my art may LOOK like it gets more cartoony, more realistic, more stylised, this is simply because i do so many different styles i dont want to make my DA only accommodate for one of them! there are mountains of other work like the ones i have up on DA just laying on my floor :~)...

i wrote this in response to the many questions i get about what styl i'm most comfortable with. the answer to that question is 'what ever style can best play on the mood of the story/piece'

thanx for reading..
